Florence Liger d’Avignonis a French artist, and photographer, based in Provence (Aramon). Born in 1968, she spent her childhood walking around the countryside of Provence, imagining words and images of her own creation. From 7 years old on, she experimented with photography and sculpting, then delved into drawing as a teenager.
1995-2005With a degree in French literature and communication, she worked for various industrial companies such as Roche and Alcatel…
2004-2016From 2004, she focused entirely on painting. In tandem to producing art, she also ran a studio formore than ten years near Montmatre. There began her first work with families. After twenty years in Paris (2013), she moved back home to Provence (Gard) while maintaining the satellite atelier in « Les Batignolles ».
2016 to presentIn August of 2016, she sold her Parisian studio in order to focus her artistic life in the south of France. After an internship with the National School of Photography in Arles, she participated in her first photography exhibition in December of 2016. From then on, she decided to concentrate on photography, using it as a primary medium instead of initial step to prepare paintings.
